Thursday, Oct. 3
1Property damage: A 41-year-old woman reported about 4:30 a.m., vehicle apparently ran over and destroyed mailbox outside home on 800 block of South River Road.
2Suspicious incident: About 9 a.m., two vehicles seen in driveway of house on 2000 block of Exmoor Court, after homeowner had left for morning; two men seen walking about grounds with drill and taking photographs; police officer checked residence and found it to be secure.
3Shoplifting: Geoffrey J. Daniel, 20, 2100 block of Schumacher Lane; 10:16 p.m. at Jewel-Osco, 127 E. Ogden Ave.; charged with retail theft and consumption of liquor by minor, after taking three bottles vodka from store without paying for them, and while drunk at time.
4Suspicious incident: A 31-year-old woman reported between 10 a.m. and 11:15 p.m., locked doors were unlocked at home on 1400 Queensgreen Circle; nothing stolen.
Friday, Oct. 4
5Driving under the influence: Matthew R. Rasche, 26, 600 block of Olesen Drive; 1:39 a.m. near Highland Avenue and Loomis Street; charged with DUI, disobeying a stop sign and driving without headlights.
6Suspended license: Manuel Esquival, 28, 1200 block of Whispering Hills Court; 11:56 a.m. near 75th Street and Wehrli Road; charged with driving with a suspended license and evading a traffic control device.
7Suspicious incident: A 19-year-old woman reported about 1:40 p.m., she was alone inside home on 1900 block of Nutmeg Lane when she heard her two dogs “barking incessantly and heard her screen door open;” no entry made; woman looked outside but saw no one.
8Theft: Mario C. Brantley, 30, and Rodney L. Jones, 39, both of Chicago; 2:24 p.m. at Goodwill Industries, 539 Fort Hill Drive; both charged with theft; Brantley also charged with criminal damage to vehicle; Jones also charged with knowingly damaging property and driving with a suspended license.
9Battery: A 12-year-old boy reported about 3:19 p.m., other boy’s mother confronted him at bus stop near Ogden Avenue and Mill Street over his bullying of woman’s son; report provided no further information.
10Theft: About 7:43 p.m., unidentified motorist drove away with rocking chair taken from front porch of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store & Restaurant, 1855 W. Diehl Road.
11Disorderly conduct: Unidentified female told police between 8:15 and 9 p.m., unidentified male or female apparently urinated on clothing that had been placed inside clothes dryer in common area of Ponds of Naperville, 1333 Modaff Road.
Saturday, Oct. 5
12DUI: Krystyna M. Antoszewska, 65, Chicago; 12:12 a.m. near The Lantern, 8 W. Chicago Ave.; charged with DUI, crossing double yellow lines in roadway, making improper turn at intersection, disobeying a traffic control device and improper lane use.
13Property damage: David A. Muenster, 22, Hoffman Estates; 12:39 a.m. at North Central College dormitory, 180 E. Chicago Ave.; charged with knowingly damaging property; while intoxicated, Muenster found himself unable to get into building; “he became upset and broke the window by banging on it.”
14DUI: Israel J. Williams, 25, Aurora; 2:33 a.m. near Brookdale Road and Route 59; charged with two counts DUI and one count each illegal possession or transportation liquor, driving without insurance, disobeying a traffic signal and disobeying a stop sign.
15Theft: Rodrigo L. Mendoza, 20, Chicago; 10:40 a.m. at Dart Warehouse Corp., 1835 Ferry Road; charged with theft for stealing digital key chain from warehouse, where he worked.
16Special police patrol: About 1:45 p.m., resident of 3600 block of Scottsdale Circle requested extra police patrol of area; report provided no further information.
17Burglary: Sometime before 9:30 p.m., during nearby Oktoberfest event, rear door forced open at house on 500 block of South Webster Street; wooden door frame splintered by force applied to it; nothing stolen.
Sunday, Oct. 6
18Aggravated DUI: Christopher J. Conley, 28, Chicago; 12:06 a.m. near AT&T Naperville, 423 S. Washington St.; charged with aggravated DUI, leaving scene of accident involving vehicle damage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance; also wanted on Palos Heights arrest warrant.
19Theft: Oliver R. Warden, 21, 1500 block of Fairway Drive; 4:03 a.m. near Diehl Road and Country Club Boulevard; charged with theft of labor or services.
20Unlicensed driver: Orelia Rocha-Cuevas, age and home town not provided; 7:51 a.m. following traffic crash near Jefferson and Ogden avenues; charged with driving without a license and driving without insurance.
