Saturday, Oct. 5
1Theft: A 25-year-old man reported between 9:15 a.m. and 4 p.m., registration sticker stolen from rear license plate of his 1995 Buick while parked in lot of unidentified restaurant on 5000 block of Ace Lane.
Monday, Oct. 7
2Theft: A 28-year-old man reported between 6 p.m. Oct. 6 and 7:30 a.m., bicycle stolen from outside front of home on 2700 block of Sheridan Court.
3Suspicious incident: About 11:53 a.m., telephone caller reported black Dodge Ram towing enclosed trailer seen outside home on 500 block of Prairie Knoll Drive; man on lawnmower “driving in circles” two doors away,” while “another subject was knocking on doors, including the complainant’s door;” no license plate obtained; truck and trailer last seen northbound on Prairie Knoll Drive.
4Suspicious incident: About 1:55 p.m., area residents reported man was continuing to dump window material inside garage of his former home on 1600 block of Fender Road.
5Marijuana possession: Irfan A. Siddiqi, 24, Oakbrook Terrace; 2:44 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive; charged with possession of marijuana and illegally passing stopped school bus.
6Shoplifting: Nathaniel Ross, 61, Plainfield; 3:04 p.m. at Walmart, 776 S. Route 59; charged with felony retail theft.
7Suspicious incident: Pre-teenage girl at 4:29 p.m. reported about 7:50 a.m. Oct. 4, elderly, male motorist offered her a ride to school as she walked on 1100 block of East Bailey Road; driver, when located, told police “it had been strictly due to the rainy weather, and nothing nefarious.”
Tuesday, Oct. 8
8Suspended license: Leonard D. Johnson, 31, 24000 block of Ainsdale Court; 12:01 a.m. near 111th Street and Cedar Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license.
9Driving under the influence: Shannon M. Reed, 24, Aurora; 1:30 a.m. near Quincy and Ogden avenues; charged with two counts DUI and one count each improper lane use, driving vehicle with unsafe tires and driving without headlights.
10Burglary: Sometime before 7 a.m., tools and unspecified equipment stolen after construction trailer was broken into on 2700 block of Showplace Drive.
11Theft: Between 7:15 a.m. Oct. 7 and 8 a.m. today, gasoline siphoned from tank of work bus parked in lot on 1100 block of West Ogden Avenue.
12Suspended license: Juana S. Carapia, 26, 700 block of Inland Circle; 3:21 p.m. near Brookdale Road and Route 59; charged with driving with a suspended license and avoiding a traffic control device.
13Suspicious incident: About 6:51 p.m., while their parents were babysitting their children, residents reported returning to home on 700 block of Potomac Avenue and finding front door of house open; no crime occurred.
14Drug possession: Jaclyn M. Lamkin, 28, 2800 block of Alandale Circle; 7:56 p.m. near Houlihan’s, 2860 Showplace Drive; charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, felony aggravated battery of a peace officer and resisting a peace officer.
15Theft: A 39-year-old man reported between 7:30 and 8 p.m., he left wallet on hood of car and drove away from strip mall on 700 block of Fort Hill Drive; man discovered wallet missing, returned to area and located wallet, which now was missing 10 credit cards.
16Trespassing: About 8:56 p.m., unidentified males or females panhandling from customers at Mobil, 1420 E. Ogden Ave.; subjects had returned to station and resumed asking for money from customers, after having been told earlier by station employees to leave area; suspects issued city of Naperville tickets for trespassing.
