Tuesday, Oct. 8
1Vehicle burglaries: Between 8 p.m. Oct. 7 and noon, cell phone and wallet containing credit card, driver’s license and $210 stolen from unlocked vehicle parked outside home on 2900 block of Gypsum Circle; and interior rummaged through and $5 in coins stolen from vehicle parked on 2800 block of Gypsum Circle.
Wednesday, Oct. 9
2Vehicle damage: A 30-year-old woman reported between 4:30 p.m. Oct. 8 and 7:15 a.m., front passenger-side tire slashed on Honda Crosstour parked in lot on 400 block of Fairway Drive, on campus of Metra Railway Route 59 commuter train station.
3Suspicious incident: About 2:37 p.m., information given to police concerning suspicious incident on 1500 block of Culpepper Drive; report provided no further information.
4No insurance: Jesus Santellanes, 20, Aurora; 4:04 p.m. near Aurora Avenue and Route 59; charged with two counts driving without insurance and one count each driving with a suspended license and violation of bail bond; also wanted on a warrant.
5Revoked license: Santos Lopez, 27, Montgomery; 4:52 p.m. following three-vehicle traffic crash at Ogden Avenue and Washington Street; charged with driving with a revoked license and failure to wear a seat belt.
6Unlicensed driver: Jose Medina-Mendoza, 22, 0-99 block of Testa Drive; 11:03 p.m. near his home; charged with driving without a license and driving over double yellow line in roadway.
Thursday, Oct. 10
7Drug overdose: About 7:45 a.m., 19-year-old man or woman overdosed on unknown narcotic inside home on 3700 block of Nicanoa Lane; subject taken to Edward Hospital and revived; no criminal charges filed.
8Vehicle burglary: A 51-year-old man reported between 8 p.m. Oct. 9 and 9:03 a.m., $150 stolen from wallet left inside unlocked vehicle parked in driveway of home on 1100 block of Bards Avenue.
9Vandalism: Property manager reported between 9 and 11:59 a.m., Latin Kings street gang graffiti found printed in marker on sidewalk near apartment complex on 800 block of Greenwood Circle; manager removed graffiti and told police of similar, prior incidents.
10Marijuana possession: About 3:19 p.m., police stopped five unidentified males or females near Winding Creek and Terrance drives, after caller reported seeing “one of the subjects walking around town with a rifle; subjects were in possession of a BB gun, an ax and cannabis;” all received city of Naperville tickets.
11Suspicious incident: About 3:21 p.m., resident of 100 block of West Bailey Road “found a spent, 12 gauge shotgun shell on the street” in front of his home.
12Tobacco violation: About 6:27 p.m., police found juvenile “inhaling whip-its” — or small canisters of compressed nitrous oxide intended for cooking and baking — on 400 block of Valley Drive; juvenile found to have tobacco product in his or her possession and ticketed for same.
13Neighbor dispute: Between 7:15 and 8:18 p.m., police were called to 3500 block of Vanilla Grass Drive to mediate dispute between resident “confronting subject on his speeding.”
14Suspended license: Joshua E. Huscher, 29, 1800 block of South Washington Street; 11 p.m. at the Naperville police station, 1350 Aurora Ave.; charged with driving with a suspended license and leaving scene of traffic crash involving vehicular damage.
