Monday, Oct. 14
1Suspicious incident: Man reported about 1 a.m., suspicious vehicle parked in front of girlfriend’s house on 2700 block of Fox River Lane.
2Property damage: A 42-year-old man reported between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 13 and 7:30 a.m., permanent lighting fixture and part of outdoor Halloween display destroyed at house on 2400 block of Brockton Circle.
3Property damage: A 53-year-old woman reported between 3 a.m. Oct. 5 and sometime today, window broken in back yard area of house on 2800 block of Breckenridge Lane.
Wednesday, Oct. 16
4Vehicle burglary: A 64-year-old man reported between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 and 6 a.m., two cars rummaged through while parked in driveway of home on 1100 block of Gateshead Drive; nothing stolen.
5Traffic crash: An 84-year-old woman reported about 3:19 p.m., her car “took off” as she drove west through parking lot of Fry Family YMCA of Metro Chicago, 2120 95th St.; car crashed after striking “pool pak” unit; woman taken by ambulance to Edward Hospital in Naperville; car towed from scene.
6Aggravated assault: Brenda Gardner, 53, 400 block of East Bailey Road; 10:05 p.m. near her home; charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
Thursday, Oct. 17
7Driving under the influence: Lauren C. Ferguson, 22, Plainfield; 12:26 a.m. near Aurora Avenue and Washington Street; charged with two counts DUI and one count each driving without insurance and making improper turn at intersection, after making illegal left turn from right-turn lane at intersection of Chicago Avenue and Washington Street.
8DUI: Richard J. McNichols, 56, 2400 block of Foxboro Lane; 12:34 a.m. near Feldott Lane and Ogden Avenue; charged with DUI, speeding and two counts improper lane use.
9Special police patrol: About 8:22 a.m., unidentified citizen requested extra police patrols and traffic law enforcement during weekday morning and evening rush hour periods near Burning Tree Lane and Royal St. George Drive, “due to vehicles speeding to avoid road construction” on Bauer Road.
10Attempted burglary: Kodi T. Rosenberg, 21, 2300 block of Overlook Court; 12:07 p.m. on 1800 block of Santa Fe Drive; charged with attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and criminal trespassing to property.
11Marijuana possession: Shawn A. Wilson, 34, Wheaton; 1:55 p.m. near Aurora Avenue and Route 59; charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, after police officer saw him smoking in his car.
