Friday, Nov. 29

1Unlicensed driver: Hector M. Lopez-Castellanos, 34, Aurora; 11:41 p.m. near North Aurora Road and Route 59; charged with driving without a license and driving with an expired registration.

Saturday, Nov. 30

2DUI: Matthew A. Gunderson, 28, Aurora; 12:17 a.m. near Quincy and Ogden avenues; charged with two counts DUI and one count each illegal possession or transportation of liquor and speeding.

3DUI: Joseph D. Scioli, 19, Oswego; 12:44 a.m. near 75th Street and Olympus Drive; charged with DUI/alcohol, DUI/drugs and improper lane use.

4Fighting: Christiaan L. Irwin, 27, Chicago; 1:14 a.m. at Features Bar & Grill, 14 W. Chicago Ave.; charged with fighting.

5Suspended license: Alexander W. Davis, 28, Bolingbrook; 1:16 a.m. near Interstate 88 and Route 59; charged with driving with a suspended license.

6Traffic signal violations: Peter E. Abiayi, 37, 2900 block of Kentshire Circle; 1:53 a.m. near Chicago Avenue and Olesen Drive; charged with two counts disobeying a traffic signal, two counts speeding and one count each interfering with police, making improper turn at intersection and failure to notify secretary of state’s office of change of address.

7DUI: Robert W. Ackley, 24, 2100 block of Sisters Avenue; 2:07 a.m. at home; charged with DUI/drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

8DUI: Darrell J. Stanciel, 37, Aurora; 2:07 a.m. near McDowell Road and Route 59; charged with DUI, illegal possession or transportation of liquor, disobeying a traffic signal, making improper turn at intersection and failure to signal.

9Vehicle burglary: A 53-year-old woman reported between 5 p.m. Nov. 29 and 8:15 a.m., glove compartment and center console rummaged through inside unlocked vehicle parked outside home on 1300 block of Rennet Drive; nothing stolen.

10Shoplifting: About 2:38 p.m., man put on pair of UGG boots inside Nordstrom Rack, 2511 W. 75th St., and then ran out of store without paying for them; shoplifter described as thin, black man in his 20s with long, bushy hair worn in ponytail, wearing blue jeans, black hooded jacket and black and white knit hat with fuzzy ball on top of it.

11Theft: A 35-year-old woman reported between 5 and 6 p.m., wallet fell out of coat pocket at Dominick’s Finer Foods, 1300 S. Naper Blvd.; unsuccessful attempt to use her credit/debit card made later in Chicago.

12Suspended license: Lydia Cichanski, 31, Prospect Heights; 8:23 p.m. near Interstate 88 and Route 59; charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, obstructing identification and driving with broken rear license plate light.

13Property damage: A 27-year-old man reported around 8:56 p.m., Christmas decorations damaged outside home on 1100 block of Lakewood Circle.

14Aggravated battery: A 24-year-old man reported about 11:16 p.m., he was victim of aggravated battery near 104th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road; report provided no further information.

Sunday, Dec. 1

15Unlicensed driver: Pablo Hernandez, 26, Chicago; 12:25 a.m. near Ferry Road and Route 59; charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance and disobeying a traffic signal; passenger Martin Morales, 39, Aurora, charged with illegal possession or transportation of liquor.

16Texting while driving: Omar Y. Gutierrez, 24, Melrose Park; 12:27 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Route 59; charged with operating vehicle while texting and driving with a suspended license.

17Marijuana possession: Christian F. Tejeda-Cruz, 20, 700 block of Inland Circle; 12:58 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive; charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a headlights violation.

18Suspended license: Nicole C. Sarychoff, 34, 30W700 block of Whispering Winds Drive; 1:21 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Royal St. George Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without a rear license plate light and speeding.

19Excessive speeding: Ewelina P. Guzik, 22, Justice; 1:22 a.m. near Leverenz Road and Route 59; charged with driving 30 mph or more over posted speed limit.

20DUI: Gregory J. Demos, 46, Schaumburg; 2:26 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Loomis Street; charged with DUI, improper lane use and failure to signal.

21DUI: Kevin S. Faucher, 26, 800 block of Parkside Road; 3:31 a.m. on 900 block of Parkside Road; charged with DUI, operating vehicle while texting and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.

22DUI: Phillip T. Myung, 22, 3200 block of Cool Springs Court; 3:59 a.m. at home; charged with DUI, reckless driving, driving on sidewalk, leaving scene of accident involving vehicle damage, failure to notify other party of traffic crash, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions, driving without insurance, possession of less than 2.5 grams marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane use.

23Illegal alcohol possession: Alexander C. Goff, 21, 25W000 block of Setauket Avenue; 3:59 a.m. near 87th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road; charged with illegal possession or transportation liquor, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts driving without insurance.

24Fighting: Blake R. Fleming, 19, 200 block of Danbury Drive; and Jonathon A. Franco, 22, 600 block of South Sleight Street; 4:42 a.m. on 2100 block of Keim Drive; both charged with fighting; Fleming also charged with consumption of liquor by minor; and Shannon M. Keane, 19, 1600 block of Bay Court, charged with consumption of liquor by minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.

25Vehicle burglary: A 28-year-old man reported between 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and 10 a.m., vehicle burglarized while parked on 1100 block of Preserve Avenue.

26Improper backing: About 10:16 a.m., unidentified driver of U-Haul truck “was backing up and struck friend in the driveway” on 1600 block of Vincent Court; friend apparently not seriously injured; driver ticketed for improper backing of vehicle.
