Friday, Dec. 6
1Leaving traffic crash scene: Melanie M. Tagliere, 33, Bartlett; 9:15 a.m. near North Aurora Road and Route 59; charged with leaving scene of accident involving vehicle damage, driving without insurance and improper lane use.
2Order of protection: About 4:20 p.m., 35-year-old resident of 2800 block of Vernal Lane called police concerning order of protection violation; report provided no further information.
3Suspicious incident: About 6:02 p.m., police sent to area of Three Farms Avenue and Natalie Court, after suspicious vehicle was “observed by caller parking on Natalie Court several times.”
4Burglary: A 58-year-old woman reported between 1 and 6:12 p.m., back door of home on 2400 block of Cimarron Court was pried open; door fragments found scattered about; report did not indicate what, if anything, stolen.
Saturday, Dec. 7
5Trespassing: Shaun D. Springer, 21, 1400 block of Druid Hills Court; 1:41 a.m. at Rizzo’s, 6 W. Jefferson Ave.; charged with criminal trespass to land and battery; also wanted on a warrant.
6Driving under the influence: Cristina H. Martinez, 34, Romeoville; 1:58 a.m. near Gartner Road and Washington Street; charged with two counts DUI and one count each improper lane use and speeding.
7DUI: Omar Ceja-Ramirez, 28, 1200 block of Needham Road; 2:05 a.m. near Needham Road and Springhill Circle; charged with two counts DUI and one count each driving without a license, failure to signal and improper lane use.
8Unlicensed driver: About 9:05 a.m., vehicle rear-ended by another vehicle while approaching right-turn bay on Ogden Avenue near North Aurora Road; unidentified, at-fault driver charged with driving without a license.
9Shoplifting: About 1:50 p.m., unidentified male or female issued city of Naperville ticket for retail theft, after trying to take two pen lights from Menards, 715 Fort Hill Drive, without paying for them; lights had total retail value of $7.98.
10Improper lane use: About 2:40 p.m., unidentified driver of green, 2006 Ford Fusion observed talking on cell phone while driving north on Olesen Drive near Jane Avenue; other vehicles forced to swerve out of way; Fusion then flipped onto its side after striking parked, gray, 2011 Toyota Camry; no injuries reported; Fusion driver ticketed for improper lane use.
Sunday, Dec. 8
11Drug paraphernalia possession: Robert P. Altergott, 24, Plainfield; 12:02 a.m. near Ace Lane and Route 59; charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession or transportation of alcohol, driving without insurance, driving with defective muffler or no muffler on vehicle and an equipment requirement violation.
12Battery: Eric M. Hurley, 21, Minooka; 12:10 a.m. at Rizzo’s, 6 W. Jefferson Ave.; charged with battery and possession of drug paraphernalia, after being denied entry into bar.
13Public urination: About 2:01 a.m., unidentified male or female issued city of Naperville citation for urinating in public on 0-99 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
14Trespassing: About 11:32 a.m., police called to settle “heated argument” and complaint of dog barking on 1300 block of Auburn Avenue; “no trespassing” warnings issued to both neighbors concerning each other’s property; no tickets issued or arrests made.
15Failure to reduce speed: About 12:32 p.m., unidentified motorist flipped vehicle onto its side after rounding curve too fast near Diehl Road and Country Lakes Drive; driver ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/ driving too fast for conditions.
16Property damage: A 60-year-old woman reported between 10 p.m. Dec. 7 and 12:46 p.m., four landscaping lights and evergreen tree damaged when unknown vehicle drove through yard of home on 2700 Wedgewood Drive.
17No insurance: About 1:40 p.m., unidentified driver of vehicle “tried to stop but could not, so he accelerated in an attempt to ‘beat’ the other cars,” striking one vehicle in intersection of Hobson and College roads; unspecified number of people in vehicle that was struck suffered unspecified injuries and were taken by ambulance to emergency room of Edward Hospital in Naperville; at-fault driver charged with driving without insurance.
18Battery: Mary A. Erwin, 47, Wheaton; 5:13 p.m. at or near River Glen Presbyterian Church, 1140 Raymond Drive; charged with battery causing bodily harm.
19No insurance: About 6:26 p.m., unidentified driver of vehicle charged with driving without insurance, after vehicle slid off roadway and damaged mailbox outside home on 1200 block of Leverenz Road.
20Marijuana possession: Julian P. Pecoraro, 18, 500 block of Cassin Road; 9:09 p.m. on 900 block of Dakota Circle; charged with possession of less than 10 grams marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.
