Naperville police are appealing to the public for help in solving burglaries that occurred over a four-day period earlier this month at two homes in the city.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrests and convictions of those involved in the break-ins.
The first burglary occurred sometime between 10 a.m. and noon Aug. 5 on the 200 block of Dilorenzo Drive. Unspecified “personal property” was stolen from that house.
The second break-in occurred between 7:15 and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at a home on the 600 block of Alexandria Drive, about a mile to the east. The burglar or burglars in that crime “stole personal property and a very heavy safe,” which “would have required a vehicle to flee the area,” according to police.
Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call Naperville Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006.
Callers can remain anonymous.
