The DuPage Children’s Museum is at 301 N. Washington St., Naperville. Parking is free. Wheelchair accessible. For hours, admission and membership packages, visit dupagechildrensmuseum.org or call (630) 637-8000. Tiny Great Performances, Family Fun Friday Nights and other events listed are free for Museum members and/or with Museum admission, and no registration is required. Creativity Classes require pre-registration and separate fees.

Snow Flakes Have Six Sides Studio Drop-in
Fold and cut a flat sheet to produce a six-sided snow flake and create a blizzard in the studio in this math- and science-focused activity. Morning and afternoon sessions are scheduled on most days. Website has details.

10 a.m.-noon, Insect Zoo (All Ages)
The experts from Anderson Pest Solutions will introduce children to nature’s Good Guy bugs, such as Hercules beetles, giant lubber grasshoppers, giant pumpkin millipedes and more. Find out how, as nature’s recyclers, these insects contribute to our environment.

9:30-10:15 a.m., Trains in Motion, A Start in Science Series Class (Ages 2-3)

5-7 p.m., Washington Jr. High Wild Life Science Club
Members of Washington Jr. High’s Wild Life Club are bringing hands-on science fun. Younger children will learn from “big kids” while exploring a multitude of different science topics. Each appearance will feature activities appropriate for two age levels, ages 4-6 and 7-10.

10:45 a.m., Chinese Folk Dance: Ming-Yan Davis & Olinda Chang, Tiny Great Performances Series
Chinese culture comes to life through Ming-Yan Davis’ and Olinda Chang’s dance performance. Watch the beauty and grace of the Tang Dynasty ribbon dance, discover the influence of martial arts on traditional Chinese dance movement and celebrate the outdoors with Mongolian-style dances.

Paper Construction Studio Drop-in

Third Thursdays are a special time once a month for families of children with autism spectrum disorder, visual, and mobility impairments to come to the Museum. The museum is open until 8 p.m.

During the school year, the museum will be open until 8 p.m. Fridays to give families access to Museum exhibits and activities and an opportunity to enjoy time together.

Rip a Picture Studio Drop-in

5:30-7:30 p.m., Build a Robot, A Science Skills Development Class (Ages 7-10)

Sea Beast Puppet Company tells classic stories in an imaginative away while promoting puppetry as a theatrical art form. Through the use of puppets, music and audience interaction, the company will present a portion of their production, “Surf and Turf.”

4-5 p.m., What Comes in 2’s, 3’s & 4’s?, A Start in Literacy Series Class (Ages 4-6)
Make number connections. Focus on 2’s through a collaged self portrait, mix 3 colors and work with 4-wheeled cars. Pre-registration and pre-payment required. Member/Child Partner $15, Nonmember/Child Partner $21.
