Lucas
Age: 1 year old
Breed: Lab-pit bull terrier mix
Personality: A fun-loving sweetie, Lucas adores people of all ages and laps up attention. Belly rubs are a special favorite — he even gives hugs in return. Lucas enjoys burning off his exuberant energy playing with other dogs in the backyard. However, he tends to like cats a little too well, so he’d be best in a feline-free home.
Adoption fee: $200 includes microchipping
Other: His leash manners are progressing nicely, along with his other training. He already knows how to sit and lay down. He’s well-behaved in the house and doesn’t need to be crated. He’s already housebroken, neutered and current on his shots.

Background: Shelter transfer from Naperville in June
Personality: He has his way with other cats, but the truth of the matter is he just wants his person all to himself. He is a sweet boy.

Ronan
Age: 2 years old
Breed: Coonhound
Background: Ronan was brought to ADOPT in a shelter transfer in June.
Personality: He is one happy dog. Ronan is up for anything. He is social and active. He loves to play with the other dogs in the big yard at the shelter. He is excited to go for walks and enjoys being outside. He is a little underweight at 57 pounds, so he could use a loving home to fatten him up. Due to his breed, we recommend no townhouses, condos or apartments for Ronan.

Breed: Retriever mix
Background: Surrendered because owner did not have enough time for her
Personality: Very active, playful, loves water and loves attention from people

Breed: 17-pound terrier mix
Personality: Marvin gets along with most other dogs and loves playing out in the yard, going for walks, does great on a leash and is housebroken. He can be a grouchy boy and needs someone with patience to bring out the best in him.
