Rabbi to speak on Jewish way of mourning
Rabbi Steven M. Bob of Congregation Etz Chaim of DuPage County will talk about Jewish rituals surrounding death and mourning from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the synagogue’s social hall, 1710 S. Interfaith network hosts Thanksgiving service
The DuPage Interfaith Resource Network will host its 22nd annual Thanksgiving service at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in the sanctuary of St. Procopius Abbey in Lisle.
The free service will include participation from a wide range of religions: Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Sikhs and Baha’i.

St. Joseph school presents Christmas concert
St. Joseph Academy’s School of the Arts, 51 W. Jackson St., Joliet, will present “An Evening of Christmas Music and the Spoken Word” at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.
Tom Hartley, music director and teacher at the school, is seeking experienced adults and students from the community to form the choir.
