Every month “Spotlight on Naperville: Community that Cares” features six local nonprofit organizations and their upcoming events.
This month, host Nancy Wiersum sat down with representatives from Wesley United Methodist Church. They’re promoting their annual Soup Supper on Jan. 21.
The Robert Crown Center came on set to talk about Happy to Be Me!, an event on Feb. 2 promoting positive body images for girls in grades five through eight.
Catholic Education Foundation members came to promote their mission providing financial assistance to students in Catholic schools who can’t afford tuition.
Three local organizations are joining forces to create a new program: Healthy, Wealthy and Wise. The Library, YMCA and Wealth Watchers are working to help residents obtain a healthy physical, financial and mental lifestyle.
The Naperville Park District will host the State of the Naperville Park District address on Feb. 9. Representatives promoted the annual event and also their new indoor facility, the 95th Street Center, for south Naperville residents.
It might still be winter, but the Naperville Little League is ready for baseball season. They’ll be holding tryouts in February.
Tune in to Spotlight on Naperville and find out more about the not-for-profits in your community!
