Shortbread
Age: 1 year old
Breed: Dachshund mix
Background: Shortbread was transferred from a shelter in Oklahoma.
Personality: A little shy at first, he warms up quickly. He will need someone patient. He likes to be petted and is very playful and sweet.
Adoption fee: $200
Other: All animals at NAHS have been examined for health and temperament, are up-to-date on vaccines and have been microchipped. They are spayed and neutered at adoption.

Harley
Age: 6 years old
Breed: Domestic long hair
Background: Harley was found as a stray with her five kittens. She has been at NAHS for more than a year.
Personality: Harley is playful and friendly and loves being petted and playing fetch. She will need to be brushed regularly. She is OK with other cats, some dogs and kids at least 8 years old.

Trudie
Age: 5 years old
Breed: Short-haired Calico
Background: Trudie has been in foster care since she was a kitten, along with her three sisters.
Personality: Trudie is a really sweet kitty. She loves to play with her sisters, and is always happy to climb in your lap as soon as you sit down. She also enjoys “helping” her foster mom clean litter boxes.
Adoption fee: $100
Other: Spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Russell
Age: 10 years old
Breed: Jack Russell mix
Background: Russell was rescued from Bolingbrook animal control. He was an unclaimed stray.
Personality: Russell is a senior boy with a few medical issues ADOPT still is investigating. He is a small boy that weighs 13 pounds. He does not do well with other animals or the veterinarian. However, Russell loves to be with people. Russell would do best as an only animal in the home and older children.
Other: All animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped and are up to date on age-related vaccines.

Bumble
Age: 5 years old
Breed: Domestic short hair
Background: Bumble has been at ADOPT since April 2011 and was an owner give up due to allergies.
Personality: Bumble is very easy going. He gets along with other cats, loves pets, brushing and cuddling, and he would make an excellent best friend for anyone. A short video of him is on the shelter’s website under his picture.
