Carmen
Age: 3 years old
Breed: Rat terrier mix
Personality: Spunky, cute and full of fun, Carmen has a wonderful time playing with her canine buddies of all sizes, but is just as eager to put her head in your lap and watch TV with you. A little shy at first, she quickly warms up to new people.
Other: She’s coming along well on her house training and does great in her crate at night and when you’re away from home. Smart as a whip, she would easily benefit from obedience classes to hone her skills with basic commands. She’s already spayed and current on her shots.
Adoption fee: $200, which includes microchipping.

Chase
Age: 3 years old
Breed: Short-haired tabby and white
Background: When Chase was about 6 months old, he had been living in a house with many other cats.
Personality: Chase is a big, cuddly boy.
He is a little slow to warm up to new people, but once he does, he can be very affectionate. He has been living with other cats in his foster home and seems to be OK them. He may not be the life of the party but will be devoted to the right person.

Adelle
Age: 4 years old
Breed: Domestic short-haired calico mix
Background: Adelle has been at ADOPT since September 2011 when her owner gave her up.
Personality: Adelle is a special needs cat. She is sweet and playful, but she would prefer to be adopted out as an only cat.
Adelle is on a prescription cat food, which would have to be continued once she is adopted.
She has a history of crystals in her urine and needs the food to prevent them from developing.
She has been medically cleared and is ready for adoption.

Harvey
Age: 2 years old
Breed: Dachshund mix
Background: Harvey was surrendered to ADOPT because he was too active for his owner’s lifestyle. He has been at the shelter since Jan. 17.
Personality: Harvey is a happy dog. He likes everyone he meets and loves attention. He does well around other dogs and children.
Harvey is also house trained. Harvey is a 22-pound ball of energy.
He’d do best in an active home where he can receive the attention and love he needs.

Chico
Age: 1 to 2 years old
Breed: Lab/Akita mix
Background: Chico was surrendered to the shelter when his elderly owner had to move to a nursing home and didn’t have family to take him.
Personality: Chico weighs 67 pounds, and is the perfect gentleman in his foster home. He is house and crate trained.
He loves all dogs (both big and small) and people and children he meets. He loves to play with the other dogs and is the submissive giant. Chico loves to cuddle with people and thinks he is a lap dog sometimes even though he is bigger.
Chico is the most well-behaved foster dog the foster family has had in their home.
Other: Chico is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and monthly heartworm and flea preventative.

Angel
Age: 11 years old
Breed: Beagle mix
Background: Angel was adopted from NAHS and returned when her owner became ill.
Personality: She is sweet and likes being around people. Angel loves going on walks and exploring.

Background: Sam was transferred in from another shelter.
Personality: He is very sweet and seeks affection. He would do best with older children and needs to be brushed regularly.
