Every month, “Spotlight on Naperville: Community that Cares” features six local not-for-profit organizations and their upcoming events.
This month, host Nancy Wiersum sat down with representatives from DuPage PADS, one of the county’s homeless shelters. They have several events coming up, like the Drive for 75 and the Taste of Hope.
On March 19, KidsMatter will host their annual student job fair. They were on set to tell viewers how they can help teens prepare for and find a job.
Giving DuPage came out to promote The Human Race. The second 5K brings community charities together for one big event. Proceeds go to multiple organizations throughout DuPage County.
In 2010, Kyle Zuleg passed away. Members of the Kyle Zuleg Foundation came on to remind everyone that “Kyle Shines On.”
Put on your green this March for the annual St. Paddy’s Day 5K. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise and the West Suburban Irish, the event raises money for health-related services for those in need.
The Conservation Foundation has been preserving open space and natural land since 1972. They also have a 60-acre farm in the heart of Naperville. Representatives visited to promote the many events they have coming up this spring and summer.
Tune in to “Spotlight on Naperville” and find out more about the not-for-profits in your community!
