Not only does NCTV17 have a passion for award-winning television, we have a passion for education. We are dedicated to having an impact on the lives of the next generation of broadcast professionals. NCTV17 offers internships year round at both the high school and college levels.
Our high school interns get a real life, hands-on experience in the TV world, from camera operations and editing to interviews and live studio shoots.
Our college-level interns take it a step further and are given “real-world” experience. Every week they are responsible for one to two stories that they see through from start to finish. They set up interviews, shoot video, write scripts and edit their own stories, all of which go both on air and online.
NCTV17 is accepting applications for the summer. No experience is necessary, but a good attitude and TV interest is a must! High school students are expected to put in five to 10 hours a week. College students must commit to 15 to 20 hours.
NCTV17 interns of the past few years have gone on to pursue careers in television production, broadcast journalism, or communication at larger organizations, including NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN and Fox.
For an application, visit nctv17.com. All applications can be sent via email to Jen Hannon at jhannon@nctv17.com. Also mail it to 127 Ambassador Drive Suite 103, Naperville, IL 60540.
