Lions pledge $10,000 for drinking fountain at Knoch Park

Updated: April 9, 2013 11:18AM

The Naperville Noon Lions Club recently donated $10,000 toward a new drinking fountain at Knoch Park. Knoch Park is home to Ribfest, hosts hundreds of baseball and softball games annually, and serves as the starting and ending location for the annual Turkey Trot. The project will begin in late July.

“The Naperville Noon Lions are very excited to be a part of the improvements at Knoch Park,” said Lions Club President Donna Kearney. “In addition to providing vision and hearing care for children in Naperville, Lions work to help people control or prevent diabetes. Partnering with the Park District is another way for Lions to promote a healthy lifestyle.”

The Naperville Park District plans to recognize the Lions Club by installing a plaque on the drinking fountain at Knoch Park.
