Tune in to NCTV17 on Saturday, Nov. 19, to watch the North Central College football team play live.

The Cardinals (9-1) will host the University of Dubuque Spartans (9-1) at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium for the opening round of the 2011 NCAA Division III Football Championship. Both colleges are nationally ranked in the D3football.com Top 25, with NCC at No. 6 and Dubuque ranked 22.

North Central lost their first game to the University of Redlands but fought back to finish the season undefeated in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Spartans are second in the nation in total defense and have a senior wide receiver that leads the division in receptions and receiving yards per game.

This is the third time the two teams have met in playoff history, but the last time was in 1969. Dubuque came out on top in all three games. The winner of Saturday’s game will face the winner of the Illinois College and Wabash College game.

Join NCTV17 on Nov. 19 for the live North Central College game against University of Dubuque. Kickoff starts at noon.

The game will be hosted by Naperville Sports Weekly anchor Alex Symonds and NCC alumnus and former Cardinal quarterback Kam Kniss (’07) and directed by Will Armistead. Catch all the action live on channel 17 and streaming live on nctv17.com.
