These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the reports include when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.
Thursday, July 12
1Vehicle damage: Between 10 p.m. July 6 and 7:45 a.m. July 12, sharp object used to etch scratches into finishes of two vehicles parked on 1000 block of North Mill Street.
Friday, July 13
2Suspended license: John R. Tudela, 24, Franklin Park; 1:11 a.m. near 87th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
3Driving under the influence: Fernando Arriaga, 24, Aurora; 1:15 a.m. near Aurora Avenue and Devonshire Court; charged with two counts of DUI and driving with an expired registration.
4Suspended license: Dickey L. Jones, 52, Markham; 1:35 a.m. near 75th Street and Book Road; charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and improper lane use.
5Property damage: Between 3:30 p.m. July 12 and 5:45 a.m. July 13, unspecified damage done on campus of Kingsley Elementary School, 2403 Kingsley Drive.
6Burglary: A 49-year-old woman reported between 3 p.m. July 6 and 9:47 a.m. July 13, vacant house on 900 block of North Sleight Street was entered and valdalized extensively, including water damage to entire building.
7Theft: A 36-year-old woman reported between 12:30 and 1 p.m., she loaded groceries into vehicle outside Jewel-Osco, 2855 W. 95th St. and then drove away, leaving purse in shopping cart.
8Theft: A 51-year-old woman reported between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., lock was possibly picked on secured, brown Mongoose bicycle and then stolen from garage of home on 500 block of Kiowa Drive.
9Unlicensed driver: Marco A. Romero, 25, Aurora; 11:21 p.m. near McCoy Drive and Route 59; charged with driving without a license.
Saturday, July 14
10DUI: Peggy A. Peterson, 32, Joliet; 12:54 a.m. near Crystal Rock Road and Route 59; charged with DUI, failure to yield the right of way to emergency vehicle and speeding.
11Underage drinking: Between 12:30 and 12:58 a.m., five females ticketed for underage consumption of alcohol by minors on 3600 block of Breitwieser Lane.
12No insurance: Brenda Bautista, 23, Aurora; 1 a.m. near North Aurora Road and Genesee Drive; charged with driving without insurance and driving with expired registration; also wanted on a warrant; passenger Monty R. Pearson, 21, Aurora, charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
13Vehicle damage: A 24-year-old man reported between 1:30 and 1:39 a.m., vehicle damaged near Ogden Avenue and Mill Street.
14DUI: Jennifer A. Jesso, 41, 1100 block of Johnson Drive; 1:46 a.m. near Gartner Road and Sweetbay Court; charged with two counts of DUI and one count each of making improper turn at intersection and improper lane use.
15DUI: Joseph A. Soucie, 39, Aurora; 3:01 a.m. near Delta Sonic Car Wash, 1780 North Aurora Road; charged with two counts of DUI and one count each of illegal possession or transportation of liquor and improper lane use.
16Trespassing: Ulysee E. Berquist, 18, 2300 block of University Court; 3:24 a.m. 2300 block of Leverenz Road; charged with criminal trespass to land, consumption of alcohol by a minor and disorderly conduct, after being found swimming naked in stranger’s fenced-in, outdoor pool.
17Battery: A 22-year-old man reported between 1 and 5:16 p.m., he was struck in the face on the 1000 block of 75th Street.
18DUI: Peter R. Gauger, 58, 500 block of Fessler Avenue; 7:04 p.m. at home; charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and unsafe backing on roadway, after backing his vehicle into neighbor’s truck.
19Property damage: Sometime before 10:01 p.m., plants uprooted from median and tossed into street near Hamlet and Plainfield-Naperville roads.
20Suspended license: Martha Hernandez, 27, 5S000 block of Karns Road; 10:08 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license.
Sunday, July 15
21Battery: About 1:16 a.m., battery occurred on 200 block of South Washington Street; no arrests made.
22DUI: Karla R. Zimmer, 24, Sugar Grove; 2:14 a.m. near Bailey Road and Washington Street; charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license, obstructing identification, illegal possession or transportation of liquor, following another vehicle too closely and improper lane use.
23Theft: A 29-year-old man reported between 5:30 p.m. July 14 and 3:49 a.m. July 15, blue-green mountain bicycle stolen from rear of 5 Guys Burgers & Fries, 22 E. Chicago Ave.
24Property damage: A 56-year-old woman reported between 10 p.m. July 14 and 8 a.m. July 15, fence pickets damaged and landscaping stones moved outside home on 500 block of Prairie Knoll Drive.
25Burglary: A 24-year-old man reported between 11 p.m. July 14 and 8 a.m. July 15, garage burglarized on 1900 block of Continental Avenue.
26Theft: Fred Smith, 51, Chicago; 1:36 p.m. on 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue; charged with theft.
27Theft: A 44-year-old man reported between 1:35 and 2:35 p.m., white man stole two metal aquarium stands and 15-foot-long metal pole from rear of business on 2600 block of Forgue Drive.
28Theft: About 3:47 p.m., theft occurred on 1100 block of East Ogden Avenue; no complaints signed, no arrests made.
29Theft: A 43-year-old man reported between 5:49 and 5:50 p.m., unspecified theft occurred on 100 block of East Jefferson Avenue.
