These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.
Friday, Sept. 14
1Driving under the influence: David T. Swinden, 26, Warrenville; 12:21 a.m. near Seventh Avenue and Washington Street; charged with two counts of DUI and one count each of driving with obstructed windshield or window and speeding.
2Battery: Kenneth J. Smith, 35, 0-99 block of South Whispering Hills Drive; 4:45 a.m. at Naperville police station, 1350 W. Aurora Ave.; charged with battery; also wanted on a warrant.
3DUI: Robert B. Rubens, 26, 1500 block of Cortland Drive; 9:27 a.m. near 75th Street and Modaff Road; charged with two counts of DUI and one count each of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions and driving without insurance.
4Theft: Ryan M. Marshall, 21, Lisle; 12:04 p.m. near Chicago Avenue and Naper Boulevard; charged with theft of labor or services.
5Vehicle damage: David A. Studley, 37, Rolling Meadows; 4:23 p.m. near Fifth Avenue and Loomis Street; charged with criminal damage to vehicle belonging to 25-year-old man.
6Battery: A 16-year-old boy reported being victim of battery about 5:35 p.m. near business on 2800 block of Showplace Drive.
7Illegal liquor possession: About 10:22 p.m., unnamed teenagers or young adults charged with underage possession of alcohol near Testa and Whispering Hills drives.
8Marijuana possession: About 10:33 p.m., unnamed teenagers charged on 2900 block of White Thorn Circle with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of tobacco products.
9Trespassing: Michael D. Dichtl, 59, 5S000 block of Raymond Drive; 10:58 p.m. at North Central College’s Merner Field House, 450 S. Brainard St.; charged with criminal trespass to building.
10Forgery: Victor J. Windham, 20, Aurora; 11:30 p.m. at Kendall County Jail, Yorkville; charged with forgery.
11Police interference: Johnny L. Powell, 19, 300 block of West Ogden Avenue; 11:50 p.m. on 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue; charged with interfering with police.
12Burglary: A 54-year-old woman reported sometime between Sept. 10 and Sept. 14, bicycle stolen from open garage of home on 800 block of Spring Creek Circle.
Saturday, Sept. 15
13Property damage: A 56-year-old woman reported sometime before 12:30 a.m., mailbox damaged outside home on 2700 block of Newport Drive.
14Fighting: Bret C. Choisser and Nicholas R. Mathis, both 23, of New Lenox; 12:49 a.m. near Jimmy’s Grill, 245 S. Washington St.; charged with fighting, after unidentified man or woman reported being battered.
15DUI: Sreedhar Maley, 47, 600 block of Conestoga Road; 2:20 a.m. near Fourteenth Avenue and Washington Street; charged with two counts of DUI and one count each of crossing double yellow line in roadway and speeding.
16DUI: Timothy R. Edkins, 52, 8S500 block of River Drive; 9:25 a.m. near McDonald’s, 892 W. 75th St.; charged with DUI drugs following traffic crash on private property.
17Property damage: Sometime before 9:51 a.m., property damage occurred on 1300 block of North Route 59; report provided no further information.
18Theft: A 68-year-old man reported between 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 and 10 a.m. Sept. 15, theft occurred on 500 block of Fessler Avenue; report provided no further information.
19Shoplifting: Antonio C. Tablante, 53, and Nieves C. Tablante, 60, both of Sterling; 4:12 p.m. at Costco, 1320 S. Route 59; charged with retail theft.
20Suspended license: Michael Kavalle, age not provided, Lisle; 5:31 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and River Road; charged with driving with a suspended license.
21DUI: Erik Ortiz, 22, West Chicago; 9:24 p.m. near Pebblewood Mobil, 1671 N. Route 59; charged with DUI, driving without a license, driving without insurance, illegal possession or transportation of liquor and failure to wear a seat belt.
22Marijuana possession: About 9:56 p.m., unnamed subjects arrested on 2700 block of Seiler Drive and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
23DUI: Victor M. Gonzalez III, 21, Romeoville; 11:02 p.m. near Hillside Road and Washington Street; charged with two counts of DUI and one count of making improper pass on left.
Sunday, Sept. 16
24Trespassing: Alan M. Bickel, 24, Aurora; 12:54 a.m. near Features Bar & Grill, 14 W. Chicago Ave.; charged with criminal trespass to land.
25Property damage: A 30-year-old woman reported between 10 p.m. Sept. 15 and 7 a.m. Sept. 16, vehicle damaged while parked on 800 block of Beaumont Drive; separate police report indicated unspecified property damage also occurred sometime before 1:17 a.m. on same block.
26DUI: Michael A. Patel, 24, 3600 block of Lawrence Drive; 1:19 a.m. at Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St.; charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions, driving while using electronic communication device, driving without insurance and improper lane use.
27DUI: Michelle M. Pfaff, 23, 1800 block of Ranchview Drive; 2:19 a.m. near Aurora Avenue and Birchwood Drive; charged with two counts of DUI and one count each of driving without insurance, following another vehicle too closely and failure to signal.
28Underage drinking: About 3:05 a.m., unnamed subject charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by minor on 300 block of East Chicago Avenue.
29DUI: James Stewart, 27, 1300 block of Modaff Road; 3:38 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Fort Hill Drive; charged with DUI and driving on unsafe tires.
30Suspended license: Khalid H. Abushaban, 19, 900 block of Fairway Drive; 3:49 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and River Road; charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and disregarding a traffic signal.
31Theft: A 13-year-old boy reported between 4 and 4:55 p.m., iPod Touch stolen while he was bowling at Brunswick Zone, 1515 W. Aurora Ave.
32Suspended license: Justin M. Boecker, 29, 1900 block of Golden Gate Lane; 5:15 p.m. near Windward Avenue and Tudor Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license.
33Suspended license: Noe Cisneros-Rosales, 45, Bolingbrook; 5:23 p.m. near 111th Street and Route 59; charged with driving with a suspended license.
34Drug paraphernalia possession: Jaimin P. Patel, 21, 600 block of Yosemite Avenue; 9:57 p.m. at his home; charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
35Leaving crash scene: Jessica R. Prince, 21, 400 block of Valley Drive; 10:38 p.m. on 1200 block of Chalet Road; charged with leaving scene of crash involving vehicle damage; also wanted on four warrants.
