A rollover accident at West Street and Aurora Avenue slowed traffic temporarily Thursday morning, but no one was badly hurt, Naperville police said.

Sgt. John Westlove reported that the collision between a Pontiac Grand Prix and a Saturn minivan happened about 9:40 a.m.

The eastbound Grand Prix apparently broadsided the minivan as its driver was turning left onto southbound West Street. Westlove said it isn’t clear whether the Grand Prix had disobeyed the traffic signal at the intersection.

“Once it collided with the van, it basically just flipped over the van onto its roof,” he said.

Both drivers were taken to Edward Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Westlove said. Neither had any passengers.

Names and the condition of the two drivers were not yet available as of about noon Thursday, he said, and he did not know whether either driver was ticketed.
