The first meeting of District 204 rivals Neuqua Valley and Waubonsie Valley Oct. 5 produced an overtime thriller at a soldout stadium at North Central College in Naperville.

Saturday night, the teams got together again, with more than just D204 bragging rights on the line. The winner got to move forward to the state football seminals.

Once again, the game was a sellout, with fans cramming into the stadium at Neuqua to be part of the experience.

With fans yelling their support, cheerleaders whipping up the crowd and band members playing their hearts out, the atmosphere was electric. The game completely lived up to the hype, with Neuqua kicking a last-second field goal to win 23-20.
