These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.
Tuesday, Jan. 1
1Theft: Between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 31 and 12:30 a.m., purse stolen on 200 block of South Main Street.
2Driving under the influence: Luther Hall, 33, Aurora; 2:56 a.m. near 95th Street and Reflection Drive; charged with two counts DUI and one count each disobeying a traffic light and driving with broken rear license plate light.
3Marijuana possession: Tobias J. L. Moore, 27, Aurora; 6:30 a.m. near Aurora and Ogden avenues; charged with possession of marijuana, driving without insurance and disobeying a traffic light.
4Property damage: Between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31 and 9:51 a.m., vehicle and two mailboxes were damaged and flag was stolen outside home or homes on 400 block of Pickerel Court.
5Property damage: Between 6:20 and 6:26 p.m., mailbox damaged outside home on 2600 block of Evercrest Court.
6Property damage: Nathan R. Kilian, 23, 2100 block of Saber Court; 10:41 p.m. at Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St.; charged with knowingly damaging property.
7Allowing impaired driver to drive vehicle: Allan G. Chang, 18, 700 block of Spindletree Avenue; 11:03 p.m. near Harlowe Lane and Naper Boulevard; charged with allowing inebriated driver to operate his vehicle, consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; passenger John R. Pelka, 18, 700 block of Spindletree Avenue; charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of less than 2.5 grams marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a peace officer; and passenger Zachary E. Maczko, 19, 2100 block of Keim Drive; charged with interfering with police.
Wednesday, Jan. 2
8Property damage: Between 11 p.m. Jan. 1 and 7:48 a.m., raw eggs hurled and shattered against house on 700 block of Douglas Avenue.
9Shoplifting: Anthony L. Poole, 29, Bellwood; 4:15 p.m. on the 700 block of South Route 59; charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
10Burglary: Sometime between Nov. 27 and today, storage shed broken into on 1100 block of Royal St. George Drive.
Thursday, Jan. 3
11Burglary: Between 1:30 p.m. Jan. 2 and 5:45 a.m., glass front doors shattered at business on 1200 block of West Ogden Avenue; undisclosed amount of money stolen from cash register.
12Theft: Between 1 and 4 p.m., green plastic trash can and blue plastic recycling bin issued by city stolen from outside home on 700 block of Knoch Knolls Road.
13Open alcohol/fireworks possession: About 7:09 p.m., patrol officer stopped two unidentified motorists for speeding near Diehl Road and Raymond Drive; open container of alcohol seized from one vehicle, fireworks seized from the other.
