These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.
Saturday, Jan. 5
1Vehicle burglary: Between 4 p.m. Jan. 4 and 6 a.m. Jan. 5, iPad stolen from vehicle parked on 400 block of Quail Court.
2Vehicle burglary: A 66-year-old man reported between 8 p.m. Jan. 4 and 10 a.m. Jan. 5, TomTom GPS unit stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway of home on 1200 block of Whitingham Circle.
Monday, Jan. 7
3Battery: Dillon P. Strack, 19, 2200 block of Salisbury Drive; 2:43 a.m. on 2600 block of Freeland Circle; charged with two counts battery and one count criminal damage to property.
4Driving under the influence: Jesus Martinez-Huerta, 24, 900 block of North Loomis Street; 3:07 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and River Road; charged with DUI, driving without a license, obstructing identification and improper lane use; also wanted on two warrants.
5Vehicle burglary: Between 5 p.m. Jan. 5 and 8:37 a.m. Jan. 7, radar detector stolen from vehicle parked on 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue.
6Battery: Eric T. Mangan, 27, Aurora; 12:30 p.m. on 1300 block of Aurora Avenue; charged with battery and criminal trespassing.
7Warrant: Adam Cuatzo, 45, Aurora; 4:31 p.m. near 75th Street and Route 59; arrested on a warrant.
8Suspended license: Brian J. Malenke, 30, 1400 block of Fairway Drive; 8:28 p.m. near Brookdale Road and Raymond Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
9Marijuana possession: Andrew B. Johnston, 18, Bolingbrook; 11:14 p.m. near Ford and Washington streets; charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and making improper turn.
10DUI: Javier Colmenero, 35, 0-99 block of Redstart Road; 11:41 p.m. near 75th Street and Naper Boulevard; charged with DUI, leaving scene of accident involving vehicle damage, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident/driving too fast for conditions, disobeying a traffic control device and improper lane use.
Tuesday, Jan. 8
11Battery: A 24-year-old man reported about 10 a.m., unidentified motorist shoved him and bumped him with open car door on 1000 block of East Ogden Avenue.
12Theft: A 32-year-old woman reported between 10 and 11:50 a.m., license plate stolen from front bracket of 2002 Nissan parked near Benton Avenue and Loomis Street.
13Suspended license: Stanley J. Wisz, 21, 1300 block of Chestnut Drive; 5:01 p,m. near Bauer Road and Royal St. George Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding.
14Excessive speeding: Taylor C. Dahms, 19, Aurora; 10:06 p.m. near 95th Street and Tall Grass Drive; charged with driving 85 mph in 45 mph zone, driving without insurance and disobeying traffic control device.
