Wednesday, Jan. 9
1Driving under the influence: Allison L. Smith, 26, home town not provided; 12:20 a.m. near Aurora Avenue and Fort Hill Drive; charged with DUI.
2Theft: Erick J. Ornelas, 21, home town not provided; 3:44 p.m. on 700 block of South Route 59; charged with theft.
3Warrant arrest: Vincent E. Huff, 23, Berwyn; 7:34 p.m. while passenger in vehicle stopped by police near 111th Street and Chokeberry Drive; arrested on a warrant; unidentified driver of vehicle ticketed for headlights violation.
4Child endangerment: Valeda A. Bell, 22, home town not provided; 8:12 p.m. on 1800 block of West Diehl Road; charged with endangering health or life of child.
5Marijuana possession: Jonathan A. Jeambey, 21, home town not provided; 10:58 p.m. near Conan Doyle Road and Gateshead Drive; charged with possession of marijuana.
Thursday, Jan. 10
6Unlicensed driver: Marcus A. Chavez, 21, Aurora; 1:01 a.m. near Eighth Avenue and Washington Street; charged with driving without a license and speeding.
7Property damage: Between 12:01 and 1:12 a.m., “extreme force” used to damage Prairie Ridge Homeowners’ Association sign on 300 block of Avena Circle.
8Vehicle burglary: Between 8:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and 6 a.m., work van broken into while parked on 1600 block of West Diehl Road; report did not indicate what, if anything, stolen.
9Property damage: Gabriel Ibarra, 21, 1600 block of Colfax Court; 2:22 p.m. at home; charged with knowingly damaging property and two counts domestic battery.
10Shoplifting: Michael Walls, 27, Chicago; and Terrell D. Smith, 30, home town not provided; 2:42 p.m. at Walmart, 776 S. Route 59; charged with retail theft.
11Theft: Between 2 and 2:45 p.m., Apple iPhone 4S stolen from locker inside L.A. Fitness, 1836 Freedom Drive.
12Marijuana possession: About 3:07 p.m., unidentified motorist cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia while driving near Jefferson Avenue and Route 59.
13Disorderly conduct: Christopher W. Brown, 32, home town not provided; 6:15 p.m. on 100 block of West Aurora Avenue; charged with disorderly conduct.
14Marijuana possession: Anthony E. Boettcher, 18, home town not provided; 10:59 p.m. near Rockport Lane and Stonewater Drive; charged with possession of less than 30 grams marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
