An 18-year-old driver was taken to Edward Hospital with minor injuries after the sport utility vehicle he was driving crashed into the garage of the home at 2755 Springdale Circle in Naperville Tuesday afternoon.

Police said their preliminary investigation of the 3:44 p.m. incident found the driver may have had a seizure that caused him to lose control of his white 2006 Chevy Suburban as he drove it west through a curve on Springdale Circle. The SUV hit a parked car, fence and boat trailer in addition to the south side of the garage, police reported.

According to a neighbor of the home that was hit, residents along the street have long complained to city officials that drivers take the curve at high speeds when taking their children to and from nearby Gregory Middle School.

The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit at 630-305-5966.
