A driver was taken to Edward Hospital after her car crashed into a garage on Naperville’s southeast side early Tuesday afternoon.
Police Sgt. Lou Cammiso said the red Honda Accord went into the garage at 512 Sheffield Road and hit a car parked inside it, which struck a second car adjacent to it. The accident occurred about 12:45 p.m.
“She got a few mailboxes, too,” Cammiso said.
The driver was initially identified only as a female born in 1958, he said.
“It’s unclear whether or not she lost control because of a medical condition,” Cammiso said, adding that alcohol was not believed to have been a factor.
The driver was being treated in the emergency room as of 2:10 p.m., said Cammiso, who did not have information about her current condition, the extent of her injuries or whether she had been admitted.
The home was occupied at the time of the collision, but no one inside the house was injured. The damage was confined to the garage, he said.
More information will be provided as it becomes available.
