Downtown Naperville again saw late-night disagreement escalate into physical fighting over the weekend. This time, police said, the scuffle led to the arrests of a man and woman involved in a post-midnight brawl at Rizzo’s, in which a high heel became a weapon.
Kenneth S. Davis, 21, of Aurora, and Jessica M. Manchur, 27, of Elk Grove Village, were charged with violating a city ordinance that forbids fighting.
According to a news release issued Monday morning by the Naperville Police Department, officers came out to the Jefferson Avenue bar and restaurant about 12:44 a.m. Sunday and found bar customers fighting on the upstairs level. One of the patrons had sustained a facial cut that required attention at the hospital, police said. Another injury was inflicted when an employee tried to intervene and “was injured after being intentionally hit in the face by a stiletto style shoe,” the release said.
Davis and Manchur were both arrested, but others at the scene received citations before being released by police, the report said.
