Saturday, Jan. 26
1Forgery: Between noon and 3:15 p.m., unidentified property owner unwittingly accepted $550 in counterfeit $50 bills during sale of Verizon iPhone to scam artist on 800 block of West 75th Street.
Sunday, Jan. 27
2Driving under the influence: William L. Xiao, 23, 100 block of Triton Lane; 1:49 a.m. near Uncle Pete’s Pizza, 815 N. Washington St.; charged with DUI and squealing or screeching tires of vehicle.
3Marijuana possession: Bernard J. Mack, 20, Chicago; 1:57 a.m. at North Central College’s Residence Hall/Recreation Center, 440 S. Brainard St.; charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
4Suspended license: Jacqueline M. Lozada, 26, Aurora; 3:13 a.m. near Jefferson Avenue and Route 59; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
5Neighbor dispute: ABout 12:24 p.m., resident of apartment building on 500 block of East Bailey Road complained of being disturbed by other resident running on treadmill; no charges filed, matter referred to apartment management.
6Marijuana possession: Spencer L. Schroeder, 25, 5S300 block of Stewart Drive; and Joshua D. Liechty, 22, Wood Dale; 5:53 p.m. near Aurora Avenue and Route 59; charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Monday, Jan. 28
7DUI: Stephen J. Showalter, 42, Elgin; 12:56 a.m. near Graham Crackers Comics, 1271 Rickert Drive, # 135; charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, disobeying a traffic signal and making improper turn at intersection.
8Stolen vehicle/burglary: About 2:32 a.m., vehicle stolen from unlocked garage on 2600 block of Champion Road.
9Marijuana possession: William Asitimbay, age and home town not provided; 3:47 p.m. near Aurora and Ogden avenues; charged with possession of marijuana, driving without a license and improper display of registration.
10Shoplifting: Alexander J. Rios, age and home town not provided; 3:50 p.m. at Jewel-Osco, 127 E. Ogden Ave.; charged with retail theft for taking three-liter jug of wine and six-pack of Fat Tire Amber Ale from Osco section of store and leaving without paying.
11DUI: Mackenzie L. Grant, 20, 3600 block of Brooksedge Avenue; 9:18 p.m. following traffic crash near 111th Street and 248th Avenue; charged with DUI, possession of liquor by minor, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions and improper lane use.
