Naperville police on Wednesday appealed to the public for help in solving the recent burglary of a bicycle store in the east-central part of the city.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the break-in at Bike Line of Naperville. The shop is located at 1277 S. Naper Blvd., in the Market Meadows shopping center northwest of 75th Street and Naper Boulevard.

A Crime Stoppers release indicated the burglary occurred between 4:30 and 10:25 p.m. Jan. 20. The burglar or burglars “smashed the store’s front window and removed a mountain bike on display in the front window, as well as some accessories,” the release read in part.

The bicycle and accessories had a total estimated value of $1,000.

The police investigation is continuing, according to the release.

Witnesses to the break-in or those who believe they have information about the case are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. Callers can remain anonymous.
