These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.
Saturday, Feb. 2
1Property damage: A 65-year-old woman reported between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., unidentified substance poured into dead bolt and knob of rear door to her home on 1200 block of Whispering Hills Court.
Sunday, Feb. 3
2Battery: A 27-year-old man reported between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 2 and 2:40 a.m., battery occurred on 800 block of South Washington Street; report provided no further information.
3Suspended license: About 2:53 p.m., unidentified motorist cited for driving with a suspended license while traveling near Iroquois Avenue and Spring Garden Circle.
4Failure to reduce speed: About 2:53 p.m., unidentified motorist ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions and driving without insurance, after causing three-vehicle traffic crash in southbound lanes of Washington Street at Aurora Avenue.
5Warrant arrest: Deon V. Hamlin, age and home town not provided; 4:07 p.m. while sitting inside silver, 1988 Buick Regal in parking lot on 1600 block of North Route 59; arrested on DeKalb County warrant for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
6Suspended license: Corbin W. Branch, 24, Chicago; 7:47 p.m. near Walgreens, 688 Amersale Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving with an expired registration.
7Marijuana possession: Patrick J. Heinz, 30, 3700 block of Sunburst Lane; and Lisa R. Elkins, 25, 24W700 block of Blackstone Court; 9:01 p.m. at Homestead Studio Suites Hotel, 1827 Centre Point Circle; charged with possession of 2.5-10 grams marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
8Trespassing: About 11:16 p.m., unidentified man or woman ticketed for criminal trespass to state-supported land on 1300 block of Springdale Circle.
9Theft: A 77-year-old woman reported between Jan. 12 and today, jewelry stolen from jewelry box in her apartment on 1000 block of Aurora Avenue; woman said theft might have occurred while she was hospitalized.
Monday, Feb. 4
10Drug paraphernalia possession: About 12:28 a.m., unidentified motorist stopped for traffic violation near Chestnut Ridge Drive and River Road; charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
11Driving under the influence: Jason A. Schroeder, 29, 1700 block of South Washington Street; 1:41 a.m. near Taco Bell, 1287 Rickert Drive; charged with two counts DUI.
12Police patrol request: A 45-year-old woman reported sometime before 8:45 a.m., trash cans turned over and garbage thrown on driveway and street in front of her home on 400 block of South Wright Street; woman suspects mischief done by neighbor she complained about the night before.
13DUI: Kenneth J. Holada, 51, 25W200 block of Plank Road; 6:56 p.m. at Wendy’s, 1589 Naperville-Wheaton Road; charged with DUI and driving without insurance, “after driving in circles at the drive-thru.”
