Morning commuters were delayed Thursday when a downed power line closed a section of Naperville Road for more than an hour.
DuPage County announced at about 8:15 a.m. that a ComEd power line had fallen in the area between Warrenville Road and Butterfield Road, just north of Naperville.
Although the access road to the Forest Preserve District headquarters could be reached from the south, all travel north from there to Butterfield was shut down.
The street was reopened by about 9:25 a.m.
