These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.
Friday, March 1
1Theft of services: Scott A. Peterson, 40, Chicago; 12:43 a.m. on the 800 block of East Ogden Avenue; charged with theft of labor or services, assault and disorderly conduct, after he had no money to pay a taxicab fare and threatened the cab driver with his fists before fleeing on foot.
Sunday, March 3
2Vehicle burglary: A 63-year-old woman reported between 9 p.m. March 1 and 10 a.m. today, intruder pulled steering wheel and rear seat vents apart after entering unlocked vehicle parked outside home on 1300 block of Modaff Road.
3Reckless driving: Thomas L. Miller, 19, 300 block of Knoch Knolls Road; 5:31 p.m. near Knoch Knolls Road and West Street; charged with reckless driving, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper overtaking of another vehicle on left, driving on wrong side of road, driving without insurance and driving without a valid registration.
4Driving under the influence: Alexey Ferapontov, 31, 700 block of Benedetti Drive; 7:28 p.m. near Diehl Road and Mill Street; charged with two counts DUI and one count driving without insurance.
5DUI: Michael G. Alanis, 24, Aurora; 9:17 p.m. near Aurora Avenue and Webster Street; charged with DUI, resisting a peace officer, leaving scene of accident involving vehicle damage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions and driving without insurance.
6Marijuana possession: Willie J. Lewis, 26, Romeoville; 9:18 p.m. near Aurora Avenue and Fort Hill Drive; charged with possession of 2.5 grams or less marijuana and failure to wear a seat belt; also wanted on a warrant.
7Marijuana possession: About 11:24 p.m., patrol officer stopped motorist near 111th Street and Chokeberry Drive for vehicle equipment violation; officer noted scent of marijuana inside vehicle; unidentified driver and undisclosed number of passengers ticketed for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
8DUI: Carlos S. Hoyos, 53, 0-99 block of Huntington Circle; 11:26 p.m. near Chicago Avenue and Wright Street; charged with two counts DUI and one count each driving without insurance, driving with expired registration and driving without rear license plate light.
Monday, March 4
9Theft: About 2:05 p.m., cell phone stolen on 700 block of South Route 59.
10Unlicensed driver: Natanael Ibanez, 18, 1500 block of Fairway Drive; 5:50 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and River Road; charged with driving without a license and driving without insurance.
11Vehicle damage: A 23-year-old man reported sometime before 6:24 p.m., sharp object used to etch scratches into finish of vehicle parked in driveway of home on 800 block of South River Road.
12DUI: William G. Hood, 58, 2200 bock of Salisbury Drive; 8:42 p.m. near Hobson Road and Washington Street; charged with DUI and improper lane use.
13DUI: Jorge Flores-Medrano, 40, Geneva; 11:33 p.m. near Liberty Street and Route 59, Aurora; charged with DUI, illegal possession or transportation liquor, driving with a suspended license, failure to signal and improper lane use.
