Edward’s Service of Remembrance on Nov. 3
Edward Hospital’s annual “A Service of Remembrance” will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 3 in the Heart Hospital conference room, on the campus of Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St., Naperville.
RSVP to the Edward Hospital Grief Group Hotline at 630-527-5056 by Oct. 25 with the number of people who’ll be at the service.
The service is part of Edward’s “Journey to Wholeness” support program, which meets twice a week to assist people in dealing with grief after the loss of a loved one.
The evening Grief Recovery Group meets from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every Thursday; the daytime group meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday. Both meet in the Education Center at the hospital.
KidsMatter launches ParentsMatterToo
Recognizing the key role parents play in raising resilient kids, KidsMatter is launching its new community-wide ParentsMatterToo initiative.
Led by project coordinator Diane Overgard, with the support of KidsMatter trustees and several high school principals, ParentsMatterToo will:
Create a website answering questions parents have about at-risk behaviors
Connect parents with expert resources
Facilitate Parent Conversation Circles
