Naper Settlement has announced the headline bands for the Naper Nights Community Concert Series.
Returning favorites include Michael McDermott and the Duke Street Kings performing the music of Bruce Springsteen on June 20, and Beatles tribute band American English on Aug. 22, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Beatles performing on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”
New acts include Mike and Joe, who will play the greatest pop and rock hits from the ’90s to today on June 21; and Think Floyd will pay tribute to the music of Pink Floyd on July 25, including their breakthrough album, “Dark Side of the Moon,” in its entirety, other Floyd favorites and a custom light show with special effects.
Other bands this year include Arrival, playing the hits, favorites and gems from Journey and friends on July 26; and 16 Candles performing the music of the ’80s and ’90s on Aug. 23.
“This summer’s concert lineup has a wide range of music including the Beatles, who possibly had the greatest influence on music in our lifetime, to today’s popular bands like Coldplay,” said Chris Korsgard, a partner in Sikich Technology and co-chairman of the Naper Nights committee.
Naper Nights will be held Friday and Saturday evenings, June 20-21, July 25-26 and Aug. 22-23 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St. in downtown Naperville.
