North Central College and Naperville Community Television are hosting an online contest for the chance to play on-stage with the band Foreigner.
Vocal groups of 25 members or less from Benet Academy, and Naperville North, Naperville Central, Neuqua Valley or Waubonsie Valley high schools can submit a video for the chance to sing the classic hit “I Want to Know What Love Is” with Foreigner on Nov. 17 at North Central College.
To enter, musicians must create a video of their group singing any Foreigner song that best showcases their vocal talents and abilities, and upload it at NCTV17.com or to YouTube and email a private link to email@example.com by Sunday, Oct. 27.
On Oct. 29, videos will go live on NCTV17’s website. The public will vote for the best one. The winning ensemble will sing live on stage with Foreigner, and their school will receive a $500 donation from Foreigner to use for its music program.
The video must include a 10-second introduction with the name of the school and group name, and be between two and three minutes. Video resolution requirement: minimum of 640-by-480 resolution. Video formats accepted: .avi, .mp4, .mov.
