Kim
Age:  2.5 Years
Breed:  American Pit Bull Terrier mix
Background:  Transferred to NAHS from an overcrowded shelter in Indiana.
Personality:  Kim a very happy dog who LOVES to play!  She enjoys meeting new people and warms up to everyone very quickly.  She is playful and friendly around most dogs, so having a canine companion in her new home might be good and might keep her busy.  She also might do well living with a dog savvy cat.  It would be best if children in the new home have had experience with dogs and if Kim’s new owners are familiar with her breed since she is strong and has a lot of energy.  She has a lot of love to give and can’t wait to find a family to share it with!
Adoption fee:  $200
Other:  All animals at NAHS have been examined for health and temperament, are up-to-date on vaccines and have been microchipped.  They are spayed and neutered at adoption.
Where to find this pet:  Visit Kim at the Naperville Area Humane Society.  Hours are 5pm to 8pmon Mondays and Thursdays.  1pm to 6pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  Stop by at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.

Silverbell
Age:  9 months
Breed:  Domestic Shorthair
Background:  Transferred to NAHS from a local animal control facility.
Personality:  Silverbell is a sweet, playful cat who loves attention.  Because she has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), Silverbell will need to live a relatively low stress life.  As long as stress is kept to a minimum, she can live a long, happy life just like any other cat.   Being the only pet in the home would be best, but she would also do well living with another calm, gentle cat.  Children in her new home should be older and have experience with cats  She is very affectionate and would love a family to call her own.
Adoption fee:  $50
