Naperville police are seeking help from the public in solving the recent burglary of a service station in the West Highlands neighborhood.
Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrests and convictions of the two men or youths suspected of stealing money and property from the Parkside Marathon service station at 1061 S. Washington St.
The break-in occurred during the early-morning hours of Jan. 15, according to a Crime Stoppers release. Two males gained entry to station by breaking the glass in the front door, the release indicated.
Once inside, the burglars stole an undisclosed amount of cash, scratch-off Illinois Lottery tickets “and a welding cart that had tanks on it,” the release stated.
At least one of the burglars appeared to be a white or Hispanic male, according to the release. Both were of average height and build, and they wore “matching, hooded black jackets, and had masks over their faces,” the release indicated.
Witnesses to the break-in or those who believe they have information about the case were asked to call Naperville Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. Callers can remain anonymous.
