Cornell University Summer College invites talented high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to spend three or six weeks on the Cornell campus experiencing what it's like to live and learn at a great Ivy League university. Students take official university courses with leading Cornell faculty, earn college credits, get to know students from around the world, and explore majors and career options.
Cassandra Marsh of Naperville participated in Butler University's Ambassadors of Change (AOC) program August 19 through August 24. This pre-orientation program for first-year Butler students focuses on service to the community and leadership skill development. Throughout the six-day program, the students are introduced to the campus and Indianapolis community through daily volunteering at local agencies. Participants also take part in discussions about social issues and learn about service and leadership styles while getting to know their fellow classmates.
Adam Parker is a monster in Lewis University's Philip Lynch Theatre's "She Kills Monsters" by Qui Nguyen. Parker is a Naperville resident and a graduate of Naperville Central.
The production will run September 27-29 and October 3-6. Evening performances begin at 8 p.m., while Sunday matinees begin at 2:30 p.m. A 4 p.m. matinee will be performed on Saturday, October 5. Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and non-Lewis University students.
