Put on your walking shoes or hop on your bike for Walk/Bike to School Day on Wednesday, October 9. Walking or biking to school instead of driving every day is an excellent habit with many benefits: it's fun, healthy, good for our air quality, and saves gas money while reducing traffic congestion.
On October 9, schools across the nation will celebrate and promote this simple, but impactful choice. According to the Walk Bike to School website, Fry Elementary School, Kendall Elementary School, Maplebrook Elementary School and White Eagle Elementary School are participating.
Please obey all traffic laws, be mindful of cars and wear a helmet if you ride your bike. For more information about Walk/Bike to school day, and traffic safety tips: www.walkbiketoschool.org
