Naperville resident voted Illinois Land Broker of the Year

A Naperville resident, Ray Brownfield, has been named Illinois Land Broker of the Year. Read the full press release below:

Long-time Naperville resident Ray Brownfield, ALC, received the honor of being named Land Broker of the Year by the Illinois Farm & Land Chapter of the Realtors Land Institute (RLI) at its annual meeting. Brownfield was recognized for his accomplishments as well as his dedication and service to the community. His nomination acknowledged his professionalism and ethics as a Realtor, and his knowledge and expertise when dealing with the Illinois land market.

Brownfield has been a long-term and active member of RLI and the Illinois Farm & Land Chapter of RLI. In 2012, he led the national RLI organization as president. Brownfield also continues to serve the national organization as the Chairman of the Land Education Foundation. Brownfield currently serves the Illinois Chapter as the Director of the North-Central region. He holds RLI’s Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation and has been honored with one of the ALC-to-ALC Land Networking Awards for the largest co-brokered transaction in the state.

Brownfield also holds the Accredited Farm Manager designation (AFM) with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA). He served as the national president of the ASFMRA, as well as the state chapter president, and in 2012, was awarded the ASFMRA’s highest award, the D. Howard Doane Award, for his service to the industry. Brownfield is also the recipient of the ASFMRA’s Hall of Fame award, an honor recognizing him for his accomplishments and service to the farm management and rural appraisal professions.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the Illinois State University Ag Alumni Association, is a member of The Chicago Farmers and is on the advisory board for the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences.

Brownfield received industry recognition for his conservation efforts, including the Award for Agricultural Excellence and the PRIDE (Protecting Resources in Defense of the Environment) Ambassador Award.

He is President and Managing Broker of Land Pro, LLC in Oswego, Illinois, which specializes in real estate brokerage, farm management, consulting, and most recently, auctions.
