On November 8, the brightest minds of Chicagoland will descend on Naperville to share their world-changing ideas with an audience of free-thinking, open-minded individuals. Each year, TEDxNaperville brings together amazing ideas, deep discussion, immersive activities, and intelligent individuals within a state-of-the-art, high-tech venue built to enable idea sharing and generation.
Now in it's fourth year of operation, TEDxNaperville's inaugural event was held in 2010 and was a roaring success with more than 200 attendees and eight speakers. Since then, TEDxNaperville has grown to become a major venue for spreading ideas and inspiring change.
This year, TEDxNaperville will be hosting some amazing new speakers such as Julie Friedman Steele, the founder of the first 3D printer retail store, Leah Guzowski, Argonne National Laboratory's energy policy scientist, and Nick Sarillo, Founder Nick's Pizza and Pub, a restaurant that has grown to be the nation's sixth busiest independently owned pizza company in per-store sales, due to an innovative cultural makeup that boasts employee retention rates at double the industry average.
New this year, ticket holders will be able to sign up for an individual TEDxNaperville Adventure that takes place the morning of the event. Think of them as mentally stimulating field trips for grown ups at some of our local area's hot spots. This year will include Fermilab National Accelerator, Argonne National laboratory, and the Solemn Oath Brewery - all free with a ticket purchase. See the rest of our speakers online at http://www.tedxnaperville.com.
