The sounds of children’s laughter and delightful sights of tiny fairies, princesses, superheroes, and pirates will soon charm visitors in downtown Naperville as excited youngsters gather for the community’s annual Halloween Adventures.
On Sunday, October 27, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Main Street Promenade, Washington Corners, Naperville Dental Specialists, Innovative Orthodontic Centers, Smiles by Dr. Gibson, Health on Earth Wellness Center, and other retailers and restaurants working with the Downtown Naperville Alliance are sponsoring two hours of Halloween fun for children and their families.
Moms, dads, and even puppy dogs will join in the fun and come in disguise. Main Street Promenade and many downtown businesses will be bustling with little goblins wandering from shop to shop, gathering candy for their goody bags. Balloon artists will create charming animal figures for the children, and families can have their photos taken in a free ShutterBox photo booth.
Little Picassos will enjoy creating masterpieces at a special arts and crafts table, and parents can take their chances of winning gifts by spinning a Pinwheel or entering an iTouch drawing.
Under the Hugo's sidewalk canopy, everyone can tap their toes to the awarding-winning Dixieland Band, Mad Monks of Melody. Tired little feet can take a rest aboard The Trick or Treat Trolley which will give everyone who dares a fun-filled ride through the downtown.
Main Street Promenade, a popular shopping destination, is located at 55 S. Main Street in downtown Naperville. To learn more about the Main Street Promenade shops, go to www.mainstreetpromenade.com.
