You may know the scores, but learn the stories behind two of the biggest rivalries in town.
On Jan. 17, join NCTV17 at North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall for the premiere of their newest documentary “We Are Rivals,” which shares the stories of the football rivalries between Naperville North and Naperville Central, and Neuqua Valley and Waubonsie Valley high schools.
NCTV17 captured the action leading up to the big game, from the student section and the cheerleaders firing up the school, to the coaches and teams getting ready to hit the gridiron.
During the game, NCTV17 had cameras capturing every moment.
“We Are Rivals” is produced by “Naperville Sports Weekly” host Alex Symonds.
“It’s amazing to see the meticulous preparation that each of these four teams, schools and fan bases put into these games,” Symonds said.
“The goal of this documentary is to tell the story of what goes into and comes out of these intense rivalry matchups, and not just the football side of things.”
Tickets to the “tailgate” are $50 and include cocktails, hors d’oeuvers (provided by Belgio’s Catering) a DVD and premiere seating. General admission is $15.
Tickets are available through the North Central College’s box office beginning Dec. 1.
Put on your school colors and cheer on your team as you watch “We Are Rivals.”
