Woman drove car
into two people
A west side mother in a feud with a woman who has a child by the same man she does is charged with four felonies and a misdemeanor for a Jan. 23 incident.
Briana T. Carter, 21, of 308 Waite St., allegedly struck the victim with her car, pushing the woman against a fence, in the 500 block of Connecticut Street.
The victim told Sgt. Freddie Cook she was visiting a friend when Carter arrived in a blue Kia. She went outside where her cousin was arguing with Carter and Carter “put her car in gear, drove forward, struck her and pinned her into a fence,” the probable cause affidavit states.
Then Carter “again pulled forward and this time knocked her cousin ... into a utility pole,” the affidavit states.
Both women suffered injuries from the assault.
Carter is charged with two counts of battery by means of a deadly weapon, two counts of criminal recklessness and failure to return to the scene of an accident causing injury.
