Naperville girl in second at junior golf tourney

Bing Singhsumalee of Naperville is in the running in the Girls Division at the Junior All-Star at Eagle Ridge golf tournament in Galena this week.
Trailing by one-stroke heading into Wednesday’s second round are Singhsumalee, Abbey Carlson of Lake Mary, Fla., and Joo Youn Seo of Laguna Niguel, Calif., who all posted a 6-over-par 78.
Jordan LaBarbera of Allen, Texas, leads the pack after posting a 5-over-par 77.
In the Boys Division, the leaders are Brandon Wu of Livermore, Calif., and Matthew Walker of Ottumwa, Iowa, who each carded an opening round 1-over-par 73.
The tournament concludes Thursday at Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa in Galena.
