IHSSCA All-State keeper for second straight season yielded 10 goals all season and the 14 opponents shut out within the 21-1-1 campaign reads like Illinois’ Who’s Who in prep soccer. All-DVC selection departs North ranked second on school’s all-time career list for shutouts with 27 clean sheets.

Offensive force behind (19-5-0) Redhawks’ stellar 3A state runner-up finish — topping the squad in points (35), goals (14 including six match-winners) and assists (seven). IHSSCA All-Section 14 and All-DuPage Valley Conference honoree will be key to 2012 Central encore efforts.

Versatility and skill throughout the field were invaluable asset in Redwings’ 13-5-2 season that included share of East Suburban Catholic Conference title. IHSSCA All-Section 2 defender and All-ESCC pick added 22 points with nine goals and four assists. Chicago Fire First-Team All-Academic All-State headed to Creighton.

Another IHSSCA All-State honoree but one of rare four-year starters for a powerhouse program like North. Obvious contributor to Huskies’ last four DuPage Valley Conference titles (27-1 loop ledger over that span). All-DVC performer led team in points (47) and goals (18, including six match-winners).

Tip of the spear for Redwings’ offense with team highs for points (30), goals (11) and assists (eight) for 13-5-2 crew that shared East Suburban Catholic Conference crown (7-1-0). Also received IHSSCA All-Section 2 and All-ESCC distinction.
Michael Plant

One of five local players receiving IHSSCA All-State notoriety was cornerstone in Redhawks’ bunker defense that produced 14 shutouts. Kicking accuracy led to match winner versus Fremd plus four assists. Encore All-DVC pick for 19-5-0 Central squad that snapped Naperville North’s 20-match win streak prior to second-place 3A state showing. Voted IHSSCA All-Section 14 as a junior.

Switched from midfield general role to center back for good of young squad helping Wildcats turn supposedly down year into 10-5-3 year that netted a share of UEC Valley (4-1-1) Division title. IHSSCA All-Section 3 pick earned All-UEC status with fellow senior Hunter Hollingshead.

In just two varsity seasons, IHSSCA All-Section 3 and All-UEC pick set standards for future Mustang standouts with two-year career totals of 60 points and 26 goals. Metea posted 9-7-5 mark with second straight regional title match appearance.

Headliner for Sun All-Area squad as 2011 Player of Year having repeated as IHSSCA All-State selection. National Soccer Coaches Association of American All-Midwest pick as a junior in helping North claim fourth-place 3A state finish. Unanimous All-DVC honoree for past three campaigns departs North among top five all-time goal (51) scorers and top 10 all-time for assists (34).
