The look was familiar, Todd Sutton just couldn’t put his finger on it. Then it hit him.

“Demond George. He was Jabari [Sandifer]. He just looked great,” said the Neuqua Valley coach, moments after struggling to explain how his Wildcats had just blown out host Metea Valley 66-51 Thursday in the Upstate Eight Valley opener for both clubs.

Sandifer, of course, is the talented guard — now at Western Illinois — the Wildcats relied on he last few years.

George, a 5-foot-10 junior guard, did a pretty good impression this night, keying an 18-0 Neuqua Valley run over a stretch of 7:03 that covered parts of the second and third quarters.
