Naperville Central football won big against Naperville North Friday night. According to High School Cube News:
"During its three-game losing streak, Naperville Central coach Mike Stine said that his team did not make enough big plays.
During Friday’s big rivalry DuPage Valley Conference game against Naperville North at North Central College, the Redhawks got the big play they needed before their offense even took the field.
After Naperville North (5-4, 4-3) settled for a field goal on the game’s opening possession, Naperville Central’s Dillon Grooss returned the ensuing kickoff for an 84-yard touchdown. The Redhawks (6-2, 4-3) never came close to relinquishing their lead, winning big 39-17."
