Jasmine Lumpkin was happy. She just wasn’t satisfied.
The 6-foot senior forward and Michigan State recruit had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 5 Joliet Catholic (13-0, 2-0 in the East Suburban Catholic Conference) to an easy 65-44 victory over Benet Wednesday in Lisle.
But the Angels could have played better, Lumpkin said.
“I thought it was a good win in our part, but I felt like our defense could have been better,” Lumpkin said. “We have to get better at man-to-man defense going into our conference because it’s one of the toughest conferences around.
