“Telly” invites you to stop and say “hello” to Naperville.
You might have noticed “Telly” downtown by Sullivan’s Steakhouse as part of the Downtown Naperville Alliance’s “Gingerbread Men on Display.”
Twenty-five local organizations and businesses, including NCTV17, have decorated a larger-than-life gingerbread man.
The Downtown Naperville Alliance invites you to visit downtown Naperville and enjoy this public art display.
“Telly’s” body is a wonderful collection of more than 400 Naperville moments captured by NCTV17 during the past couple of years, from state championships and other sporting events, to parades and City Council meetings.
“We wanted to design Telly in a way that would showcase Naperville, because that’s what we try to do as a station,” said Marc Dahlquist, community education director at NCTV17.
“Telly” is also live and interactive. His top button is a webcam that “keeps tabs” on the corner of Main and Jackson streets.
You can see what Telly sees at NCTV17.com.
“Naperville News 17” will be pulling moments throughout the week from “Telly’s” camera.
To see if you made it into the news, tune in at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20.
To vote for “Telly” and view the other gingerbread men, visit downtownnaperville.com/gingerbread. Voting ends Dec. 31.
